SightPicture Overview
SightPicture is a digital platform for sports shooting. Clubs can run and score matches, with results all recorded online. Users can log in and see their results, if their club is subscribed to the platform.
The main parts of the platform are the tablet app and the website.
Glossary
You'll encounter the following terms while using the platform:
- Detail
A group of shooters in a match, shooting on the same range at the same time. Other details for the same match might be on another range or shoot later on in the match.
- Match
A match is an approved shooting event. A match can either be a competition or a practise. The equivalent legal terminology for these will vary from location to location.
- Match Type
Some matches can have people shooting the same course of fire next to each other using different categories of firearm, or in groups separated by age (e.g. juniors) etc. For example, Service Pistol and Service Pistol Unrestricted are both "match types" of Service Match. Similarly, Centerfire and the 25m Pistol Men/Women/Junior options are all types of the same match.
